Looked Over

Walking into a library is an intimidating experience. It takes SO much time, creativity, and/or research to write a single book. People have spent their entire lives writing just a handful of them, and walking into a library, you are completely surrounded by thousands upon thousands of books. Each book is or was someone’s pride and joy, their creative child. How many times have you walked into a library and seen the massive shelves of books as a bothersome hinderance to getting the book that you want? “Oh man! The Collected Works of Dan Brown is sooooo high up there on that shelf! Stupid Emily Bronte and your classic literature”. But think about those towering shelves and the countless books that fill them. Think about all the books in the archives that you can’t get to. Imagine the months and years that went into writing each individual book. Picture the faces of the authors when they finally finished their latest book; the prideful excitement of a new parent. Now take thousands of those books and the souls contained within them, stack them neatly on enormous shelves, and act like that is normal. Not so easy eh?
